 Makes 6 ‘dogs’
Ingredients
1
½ pounds ground beef or may
substitute with ground turkey
½ cup Blue Ginger Asian Marinade for Beef and Lamb

2 cups white cabbage, shredded
1 cup carrots, shredded
One-third cup Blue Ginger Shallot-Soy Vinaigrette

Salt and Black Pepper to taste
2 tablespoons grapeseed oil to cook
Hot Dog Buns, toasted
Ketchup and Mustard
Blue Ginger Mango Salsa
**available exclusively at your nearest TARGET store
Blue Ginger Sambal
**available exclusively at your nearest TARGET store
Blue Ginger Wasabi powder
**available exclusively at your nearest TARGET store
Blue Ginger Chips: Asian BBQ and
Hawaiian Sea Salt

Preparation
1.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and Asian Marinade.
When well mixed, form the ground beef (or turkey) into a tight ball, then
roll it out on an even surface and form a hot-dog shape.

Prepare a hot wok coated with 2 tablespoons of
grapeseed oil over high heat. Add 3
burger-dogs at a time to the wok and cook, while rotating, for 6-8 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine the cabbage and
carrots. Toss to coat with the
Shallot-Soy Vinaigrette and check for seasonings.
Plating
1.
Family Style Serving. Place
the burger-dogs in the buns and put on a large platter.
Divide up the slaw among each person’s dish and let them ‘dress’
their own burger-dog. The ketchup and mustard is for the kits.
For the adults, mix a little of the sambal with the ketchup and mix a
little of the wasabi paste with the mustard to make ‘grown-up condiments.
Adults will also like the Spicy Mango Salsa on their ‘dogs’. Serve
with the chips. |
